Have Googled the directions and sorry to say but once at Picton the journey is stopped by Old Hume Hwy, can't see a way to continue without having to drive on the Old Hume Highway.
There is an alternative, that takes you further south...
Back roads to Cambelltown then Narellan Rd, Camden Valley Way, Burragorang Rd and Wilson Dr down to Cold Vale.
But even this route the journey eventually gets to Willow Vale and requires driving on the Old Hume Highway.
Sydney to Melbourne without highways is not as easy as it seems.
