Default Re: Aircon compressor seized, any help please!!

You can get a mobile air con man to come and degass and later return to regass. once you have fitted new parts (in addition to the compressor usually and least a new drier and condenser see https://speedyairspares.com.au/produ...yl-77-172.html etc).

Compressors around $350 e.g. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-Ne...sxd:rk:21:pf:0 or https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Air-...MsxS:rk:6:pf:0 This $300 may even fit https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-AU-...rlm-:rk:2:pf:0

Buy the Haynes Tech Book https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Automoti...GZL3:rk:2:pf:0 and some O rings https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Automoti...GZL3:rk:2:pf:0 and oil to lubricate the O rings https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Air-Comp...yoq:rk:12:pf:0 and some crows foot flare nut spanners you can use to tighten all the pipe fittings to spec with a small torque wrench. This is what I usually do. If you are going to keep the car think about fitting one aftermarket line filters that stop broken bits of compressor getting into teh drier and condenser if it should fail again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu_mVy-cN-w and https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supercool-I...Nh5:rk:14:pf:0 and https://www.amazon.com/TSI-Supercool.../dp/B008PKUTYY and https://www.amazon.com.au/s/ref=nb_s...In-Line+Filter
