I use banks of Century 200amp/h "Truck and Farm" lead acids though heavy, I've had 10 years out of one bank of batteries, and 9 out of the second bank in another system.
They are not referred as "deep cycle" but have the exact same wide 11 plate construction.

If you look after them they'll serve you well.
