E- series will be around for a while yet.
They arent antiquated by any means. EFI, Electronic 4 speed Auto (not EAI), decent suspension, decent build quality, modern interior (especially EF/EL) and easy to work on.
They are still a respectable car and a clean EB will still turn a few heads and the AU styling turned the E-series into a beautiful swan. And with the V8 i think the E-series will be around longer the the 6cyl XE/XF's of the 80's.
