Ummmmmm... engine rev related... sounds like the volume control to me! There is a feature in the head unit of the Fiesta that adjusts the volume to engine revs (goes louder to make the engine less audible). My guess is you turn that off and see how you go.
Another thing... why is the wife driving the Lexus and you driving the Fiesta? Im sure you would be having more fun in the Fiesta on twisty roads... there are corners in perth yea?
So did you get auto or manual?
