You should expect 10+ years about of your system, so invest in the best you can afford with the ability to add extra stuff without having to upgrade the AVR.

What amp is that? you have?
Generally straight sound amps are better. Less stuff to go wrong. I work with a warranty shop, we get a lot off AVRs come in with HDMI problems. the other is power problems. Perth is notoris for giving us work because of bad power.
