Default how to do some work until tools insurance and training is in place

hi

was wondering how you could do some work for yourself and sort of run your own thing until you got training and insurance and tools in place.

do plan to have a part time business which could be more of a side thing at some point but dont yet have insurance and all the training done and all the tools yet (at least bare minimum tools) and dont want to fully advertise and commit until all insurance and training is in place and at least bare minimum tools.

how do you afford the insurance and other costs out of your bank account until you start to get enough work to more than cover your costs as dont have a lot of money and dont want to run short for the fortnights.

a cousin has started a shed business and its reminding you how much you want to get yours up and running but dont as said have insurance yet and all the training and at least the minimum tools needed and am not quite ready yet as got to buy tools and do courses and thats all going to cost money and can only do so much at a time.

how would you be able to do it all without rushing into anything until all thats in place, what would you do to do some work without training and insurance until youre actually ready.

waiting until am ready to do the side thing to get work.

would getting thrift store items or items off side of road or at garage sales and cleaning them up and mending them and re selling work, have some sales experience from old job with secondhand items and things are starting to look much better now that am out of hospitality.

As for it equipment for home have got a bit of a plan, will likely soon replace the laptop with a new even if last years model or good secondhand one but with secondhand one check release date to get idea on age.

Even if only able to afford secondhand stuff will get the newest possible and change them every 2-3 years and may still get a small upgrade, it’s a bit hard to explain but many of you get idea.

Got a hand me down desktop computer, just got to set it up and another one given by a uncle so might look at upgrading that and have one in bedroom and one in shed, no idea which yet.

And for the chromecast with google tv will be looking at getting a ethernet power supply option for it to have a hardwired connection even if using a power line adaptor for now.

So am getting there in a way

Default Re: how to do some work until tools insurance and training is in place

Hi again

years ago there were a lot of family parties and pop had a pa system and had set it up but those days are gone, how would you find people to have nights where could you setup and use pa system and where could you do it, how do you bring back those days

what could you do to use or manage a pa system at a school or similar or permanent pa system in buildings without having to manage events or take on leadership positions or going up high enough in ladder at community centres as it feels like you have to.

also years back (was probably about 7/8 and now am 36) parents had a hifi stereo system capable of 4 speakers total and there were 2 speakers inside and the father had put 2 more in outside (particularly if people were over) so there were 2 speakers outside and 2 speakers inside as well and was wondering how to go about doing similar when you don’t own property and probably never will unless you can come up with a tiny house.

also how would you be able to install simpler pa systems and ceiling speakers or similar and run microphone and speaker cables in wall cavity without insurance until you make enough to cover costs and do get around to it.

sometimes feel put off because of the concern of being able to afford insurance out of your own account being that it’s probably a business until you make enough to cover costs.

how would you afford insurance until you can make enough money to cover insurance costs as can’t afford it out of own money.

would you get away with volunteering services and charge cost prices and ask for small donation for time instead of average rates.

it seems to afford everything you have to get together with someone and feel that you shouldn’t have to if you’re happy single and doing own thing and keeping eyes out for someone that wants what you’re looking for.

am getting there sometimes feel behind because of staying too long in a job (most these days would just throw it in and move on and not do what people used to do and stay just a little longer)

how come people these days just move on without anything lined up, is it because we live in a throw away time and some people view jobs like that.
