Default Seat belt light on

Just trying to fix a problem for my dads car. He has a 2001 Laser, at the seatbelt light does not come off. Ie when you buckle up the light remains on.

Any ideas? What do I check?

hey there, my gf has the same model with the same problem... nest bet is to heck the connections at the seat belt, they can come loose thus not allowing the circuit to close and turn off the light, failing that disconnect both wires and twist them together, if the light still stays on the issue is in the dash. if that's the case. goodluck!!!
