i've had a quick look in my CL under the passenger and driver side and have found the bulb holders where u screw the bulbs in. i tested it with the bulb from the light in the boot. it screws in perfect. but i can't find any wiring at all. have heard that the xr5 has wiring but can't see any in the CL.

CL, LX, Zetec doesnt have the wiring for it AFAIK. Ghia has it though. Our Foci are made in SthAfrica so we dont have the wiring in place unlike those in Europe. Kinda sucks but what can you do.

I'm considering doing a rabbit run from the A-pillar for it but its such a small thing I might not be bothered.

American parts... Russian parts... ALL MADE IN TAIWAN! - Russian guy in Armegeddon

Ive noticed a lot of other things ommited from the south african made focii...i guess thats how ford was able to reduce the price by at least $1000 over the previous LR model which was imported from spain.

No Stephen, just Germany and Spain. Hatches from Germany, Sedans from Spain.

Ireland never made Foci, nor did the UK. Belgium made Mondeos (still does).

Out of interest, LS Focus is made in the following plants worldwide:

Taiwan, South Africa, Germany (Saarlouis), Russia (St Petersburg).

US Model made in Mexico.

Apart from us, who else does the South Africa plant service?

I need additional lighting in the hatch.... BECAUSE THERE ISN"T ANY !!!!

So I went off down to Autobarn and picked up a couple of RV internal lights and this weekend they are going in...

Internal lighting on this model is no better than my old VB Commodore.

Nearly forgot to mention the pathetic headlights too....

This car is a tinkerers dream.

Anyone put an exhaust on the Duratc motor yet?
