Default Another 6 Stacker issue

I have Premium Sound in my 2001 AUII XR8 Rebel. Sometimes the CD player wont play or while playing it will just stop and make weard sounds. If a CD was playing when the ignition was turned off, it wont always start again when the ignition is turned back on.

I've looked at the aftermarket units and yes I will aggree that they will probably offer better sound, but I like the sound of it (when it is working) and I have not yet seen a quality aftermarket installation.

There has been talk here that exchange units are available. Is this still so, and if so what is the current price.

And from those who have had them, are they worth it (no disrespect intended).

Ps: Can/will ASL fit/supply a quality AUX input with these exchange units or can they be upgraded to play Mp3's.

Hey Fadi, I have decided to get the factory unit reconditioned through Andrews Car Radio here in Newcastle. He said he will ship it to you for repairs. He also told me that the whole CD mechanism is replaced.

1: Does this include the laser?
2: Also, can you install a quaulity aux input while you have it (at additional cost off course)?
3: He also said that a 3 month warranty is included, but you mention a 1 year warranty. Can you clarify?

Kind regards, Daryl!

Daryl

it includes new cd mechanism, if the laser needs repalcing we will replace it.

regarding AUX input, you have to use a Fm modulator in your case. $50.00

it is one year warranty unlimitted kms.

we will inform Andrew's car radios when we recieve the unit.

Thanks for repairing my unit so quickly. Just a quick question, what would cause it to skip a portion of a song? Occassionally it will stutter, repeat the song and it wont do it so I assume it is not the CD's. This happened first just after it was refitted while in the garage, so it wasn't a vibration thingy.
