This thread is making me hungry!
Melbourne is in the midst of a boom in proper American bbq restaurants at the moment - if 18hr smoked bbq meat is your thing, go to fancy hanks NOW. Order brisket, pulled pork, ribs, beer can chicken by the kilo and wonder why you didn't go sooner!

Well if America had Contiki tours of food joints like that, I`d sell everything and sprint down to the travel agent.

Warning though, dont watch too many episodes of that show because your bucket list will end being a water tank list.

I tried a place called Smoque in Canberra on the weekend.

Had a platter with pulled pork, brisket, chicken, ribs, cornbread.

Really enjoyed it.
