The Ford Coupe Club came of age yesterday, marking 21 years since it's formation and incorporation. To mark the event we had a celebration dinner dance last night at the Mulgrave Country Club.
We had a fantastic turnout of current members along with club founders Jamie (still active in the club) and Chris. Chris still has his coupe, in pieces at Jamie's place. Although he has been inactive car wise for a long time he hoes hope to get his coupe going again. A third club founder, Steve unfortunately was not able to attend. We also had club patron Murray Carter attend along with Jim Keogh and a great friend of the club Colin Morley. It was a great night of photo slide shows, speeches and recognition of the great work done by those who formed the club and committee members who have worked hard to keep the club going and growing. Lindsay's speech was a highlight where he spoke eloquently about our passion and the club. He said "it's the cars that bring us together but the friendships that keep us together". Never a truer word spoken. HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY FORD COUPE CLUB!!!!
