DVD HDD recorder questions - guru's?

Im looking to buy a DVD Hard disk recorder for home coz my VCR packed up.

Can anyone recommend me to any particular brand and shop?

Essentially 80Gb minimum is the idea. In fact I was possibly looking at the DVD/VCR recorder combo's but they dont do hard drive capabilities do they? I'd like that feature if possible. Im looking for a reliable, quality brand that will last the distance. Budget is about $700.

What choices do I have?

Since your also in adelaide, my best suggestion is to speak with Mike at Absolute audio visual at glen osmond road
He is a wholesaler of anything audio visual and my family have purchased pro blank discs, VHS tapes, DVD-VHS combo machines and other equipment from him in the past eight years

You will save possibly two hundred off a machine your after
He mainly sells panasonic but can get you pretty much what you want or if not, will advise you where to head to next to source it
