Hi guys still have car for sale lots of interest but best offer was $4.5K
The engine protective cover has disintegrated , is it necessary if so is wreckers the best place to look |

Remember, the prices on Car Sales and the like are what people are asking not what they are getting, and there are a lot of extremely unrealistic dreamers asking very unrealistic prices at the moment.
A sensible sales strategy is tp list it and your dreaming price on Gumtree and then cut the price by $200 (or $100 or $500 depending on how quickly you want it sold) each week until it is sold. Essentially a reverse auction that should get you the real market price. Remember, with a car this old, it loses value each week as the amount of paid up registration reduces, and also ultimately you have to pay the annual rego and insurance bill that might then exceed what you will get for it. You location may also have an impact on price in terms of closeness to major cities/markets etc.
