They have so many ways in which they can make a serious comeback. The 4C shows they can build a good sports car, I hope they build a "new" version of the 105 coupes.

Its got Jag from the front and Maserati from the rear...RRP will be interesting because AMG and M are obviously very established.

I guess there is also space on the lower intake for the number plate?

We should move to some chip technology so we stop ruining front end's with plates.

According to Jeremy Clarkson in the UK if your haven't owned an Alfa your not a real car enthusiast.

And I tend to agree they are heaps of crap but once you get them on a nice windy road and open them up with that rapy exhaust pure heaven.

That looks gorgeous, just like an Alfa should. With a proper manual box that would be a seriously fun car.

I wonder what they will do for engines? Would be awesome if they switched back to a Busso style V6 and not the GM hybrid crap they used in the 159.

There was an Italian festival a few weeks ago in western Sydney and I saw the new Alfa sports car:

Beautiful from any angle!

The place has all sorts of Ferraris, Lambo's, Maseratis on display but this is what people were admiring most

Around $125k as well...

Plate will probably go to the side under the headlight.

Yeah always on the side for the number plate. My mum of all people stayed up last night to watch the live launch stream, absolute alfa nut. It's going to be some sort of machine with 510hp, claimed 1500kg and a manual box.

Here's a video of a red one and a white one

Actually, first comes "minor" engine/gearbox issues, then the electrics will fry themselves in synchronisation with the interior falling to bits. The rust is standard issue from the factory and after 3 years it begins to really show itself.

That is the usual progressive nature of Alfa ownership, but all the while owners will sing praise and fall in love with their Italian 4 wheeled tragedy.

BTW, that car looks great!

The only thing, from the vids that is, that it seems pretty big. 156/159 were actually quite slim.

Im more interested in what other models they will release and whether they are all RWD.

Do you have a sook when dropping engines out of Ferrari's and Maserati's when some routine tasks are needed to be done?

Dont know why people bother commenting when they have nothing constructive to add.

Stunning looking and performing car if its built like the 4C it won't rust. 4C is constructed from C/F, Plastic and Aluminium. Giulia will be a real good piece of kit especially with 510HP.
With regard to the number plate in NSW at least there is provision in the rules for the front plate to not be fitted if there is no place created by the manufacturer for fitment. (a lot of exotics and sports cars have no place for them on the front) I have a mate with a 4C who has the obscure rule number printed out for an occasion when a HWP needs to be bought up to speed. To save google,

NUMBER PLATE EXEMPTION
The Roads & Traffic Authority have advised that they have issued an exemption notice in relation to the display of number plates under the provisions of clause 10 of Sch 2 of the Road Transport (Vehicle Registration) Regulation 2007. This exemption took effect on 1 February 2010. The exemption covers clause 61(2)©

The exemption has the following effect.

Clause 61 (2)© regarding the display of number plates on a registerable vehicle does NOT apply if:
a) due to the original construction of the vehicle it is not practicable to comply with that subclause; or
b. the number-plate is affixed in a manner that complies so far as practicable with the subclause.

Note that this exemption applies only to the original construction of the vehicle, therefore does not cover vehicles that have been modified irrespective of the modification being approved by an engineering signatory
