need some advice for sheds

hi

was wondering wether there are other sheds you can go to on days where you cant make it to local mens shed due to work as until having own shed on different property which is taking ages due to wanting to buy and not have to ask permission from owners to do anything and not rent where you are supposed to ask owners permission am completely depending on that.

reason for completely depending on the local mens shed is because that and your grandmothers shed is as close as will get for atleast 5 years to something on a different property to where you live.

in the copper coast area based on the block and shed requirements its going to be better to atleast try to find a block with a shed and get that problem sorted then slowly decide how to go about putting a house on it preferably the cheapest house you can that has a big yard that is otherwise livable but needs alot of work just for the shed where approvals would be in place then think about wether to repair that house or pull it down and put a better house there later. both options have to have big yards and usually you can get cheap ones a few km out town a little

as yous all know most 30+ year olds get to point where they feel its time and they need to think about it as soon as they can afford to and are just hanging on as much as they can until then even if they have to work something out to give them as long as its going to take to sort themselfs out.

even if you stockpile some electrical fittings then pay to have them fitted at time its a huge thing off list even if it doesnt look like its much.

some live at a place which they might be happy doing for now where there isnt a proper shed and far from house and might be trying to work something out to get them out or immediate trouble, even if it isnt ideal it might give a bit more time.

dont want to be paying as much money to rent as you would be paying off something that you own.

Just do whatever you can do now and don't sweat the future. Have a plan, plans can change, at least you'll end up somewhere.

Are you asking if there's a way to get access to a shed and be able to treat it as your own... IE not have to ask someone's permission to do anything to it.. until such time as you're able to get your own shed?

If so, I doubt you'll find anyone willing to let you use their shed as your own without some sort of payment. Maybe buying a used shipping container for cheap and kitting out the inside of it as a shed?

There’s usually a supply, transport is first hurdle then second is managing to park it without a council making scenes. Pre-COVID a container broker price was around $2K/20’ ex-Sydney or Newcastle.

Some councils will not let you build a shed on a residential block before you build a house.Think they are worried you will build a shed then rough it out as living quarters

Yeah, plenty here in the NE.
There are some really nice American barn style houses around done this way, the main give away is the TV arial.

Yep, around $1800 mark was right/delivered.
Got 2 for around $900ea privately + local transport.

it means finding a cheap shed to work in thatll allow more time to save a larger deposit to buy uour own that doesnt cost as much or more in rent.

probably just have the money though could be pushing it, but dont want to be paying as much or more to rent one as you would to just pay off something of your own, theres no point and renting is a waste of money

just wondered if theres cheap ways that doesnt cost as much or more in rent just to give you more time to save a deposit for finance.

if you are happy to look around you seem to be able to get cheap houses for $150,000 or blocks with sheds that you could put houses on later in copper coast area.
