In the absence of an “umbrella” thread for What Could Possibly Go Wrong? type topics, a new thread.
“Official” Gov’t app that aims to help people who’ve decided they want to buy a car: https://www.moneysmart.gov.au/tools-...oneysmart-cars It should work well, the idea is good - but trying to thin out the emotion in this process is surely an un-winnable battle. I can readily imagine data harvesting and onselling, inserted adverts, data breaches, skewing of input details, aping of format by a commercially operated site… It may be useful to some but I have concern it will quickly be traduced in effect. |
