Talking Top Gear: Where Stigs Come From

Due to it coming out that Ben Collins was the Stig, Top Gear was in need of a new one. TopGear.com has posted an article and video footage documenting where they get their Stigs from. They also reveal what color the new Stig will be.

They should have just done away with The Stig.

Can't say it's exciting anymore to think of who is under the suit.

Funny stuff that. Thanks for posting.

Agree with you Bobman. There has definitely been a drop in the intrigue and mystique associated with the Stig. A real shame that Collins did what he did and when.

i think they like to have a race driver test their cars, and it solves any debate as to how good the driver is if his identity is known.

also, bbc have removed the youtube clip - spoilsports!

I still love the character of the Stig. The fact that it is not a person, not an alien, not anything, it's just a race driver.
I dont care for the mystery and intrigue, the character is the important factor.

Good episodes for the character that come to mind are the 24hr race and the bike/car/boat/public transport race through London.

Can't say it ever was to begin with. But its part of the show and good entertainment value.
