Default Blue Thunder's Hills Cruise

Many thanks to the Blue Thunder leaders.

Well the benchmark of a great cruise has been lifted again.
Awesome roads and at my count 53 cars, all presented beautifully.

All we need is some sort of devise to remove trucks and wayward Kombies from the path of our rainbow convoy.

It was great to catch up with some old friends (emphasis on OLD) and meet some newbies.

Well Run, and looking forward to our next run.

Made me really enjoy my baby again today, it was great not to have brake issues finally (the mechs have finally fixed the problem) :
great to catch up with everyone and to meet some new members.....

Looking forward to the next one :eclipsee_

Shane & Kerry top effort in being our pilots for the day , job well done and yes those pesky trucks and an old blue Kombi did hold up the presession a bit but you get that on a public road
Can not wait till the next cruise to enjoy those TINY veal shanks :sm_drool:

Default A Big Thankyou

To all the clubbies that attended todays cruise, a big thankyou for the great turnout. : : It is always a spectacular sight not only for the participants in the cruise but also the spectators on the road. When we turned off at Obi Obi Road and saw fifty or more XR/FPV's with their lights blazing, you guys were truly an amazing sight. :thebirds: :eclipsee_ : It makes us feel very proud to be a part of such an awesome club. As part of the events committee team as a team member it is very gratifying to see that the first two events this year have been so well attended. We would also like to thank the other club committee members for their support during todays event. Three cheers for each and everyone of you and give yourselves a big pat on the back. : : Well done. Thankyou for your support and please keep it up.

Bring on the next event!!! Can hardly wait!!! : :

Cheers
Shane & Kerri

Thumbs up Sunshine Cruise

What a hot but beautiful day for a cruise to be Sunshine Coast. It was amazing to see so many cars take part but not one the same. Thanks Shane & Kerry for the day. And to young Patrick who won the Ambrose Bear, keep it under lock and key mate, there were some people out there who really really wanted that bear.

Thanks everyone for a great day.

Thanks to Shane and Kerri for a great cruise,
my first cruise with the club was last year which was also a Blue Thunder cruise as I recall to the Gold Coast Hinterland. Since then, I have loved every minute of the club activities, none more than Blue Thunders cruises. Great Job guys. What a fantastic club this is. Just off topic a bit, have I convinced Gecko (Lynton) to trade up to a Phoon yet? That mystery continues.

Cheers

Thanks Jeff (Phoon) for your compliment. : That is very humbling. We love to be a part of these club events. :sm_headba Even though it is fun being the pilots for the day, we think it is even more fun cruising half way or so down the pack where you can be a little bit more mischievious. (If you know what we mean?) :eclipsee_ :
but always looking forward to piloting another one. :eclipsee_ :

I will not go over ground already covered in the posts above except to say thank you to Shane and Kerri for all the work they did both on the day and during their holidays driving the route and planning it. Well done guys. I would also like to thank every Clubbie that came along for the cruise, without you there it would all be for nothing. You can also give yourself a pat on the back for the way you all continue to turn your cars out they are a credit to yourselves and the Club.

Thanks to all concerned, brought along new members who joined up on the day and they were very impressed with the number of cars that turned up, they had a great day and would like to pass their thanks to everyone for making them feel welcome on the day. Shane & Kerri you have set a new bench mark as far as those maps were done, great job. ;) Will see you all again at Morgan Park (GO THOSE EIGHTS). :eclipsee_

Because I wanted value for money - why get half the plate for the same $$$'s ? Doesn’t make sense! I don't like the slimline - I think I am the only person in the world that does not but hey, that my prerogative!

Fair enough, the only reason i ask is because the slimline fits the FPVs and XRs better then the bigger one, as it goes in line with the top of the opening!

Still looks neat either way :thebirds:

Great piccys Tori, and Im not just saying that cause the Phoon got in there. The pic looking down the row of cars is awesome. I also love the look of Rob and Lissa's AU. I think its the body kit and wheels on the car that really make it stand out for me.

As everyone has already said, great pilot, great cruise, great people, great cars.
Thanks to Shane and Kerri for putting the run together. Despite the great number of cars attending we had no trouble in keeping together most of the time. It's allways hard to keep that many cars together without police escorte, but your choice of route made it very easy.

Don't worry Leanne, Patricks bear is sleeping in the safe at night

We were some of the last ones to leave Montville, and on M1 there was a a four car pileup. The car in front was a grey BA XR6 but I am not sure if it was a club member, does anyone know ? The damage to his rear bumper did not look too bad, wich can not be said about the Hothouse Green Commodore at the rear of the pileup, that was a towaway.

See you all again on Saturday

Cheers Per

Well done Kerri / Shane, another great cruise, will have to leave a bigger gap between you and I next time, (worried about sucking you up in the hair dryer) but seriously there was plenty of the windy up and down stuff that we all love. : :
