Exclamation Winton 24 Hour - Easter 2010

I am trying to drum up some entries, so I apologise for any multiple posts.

Winton Motor Raceway will host the revamped "24 Hour".

The Winton 24 Hour will run over Easter 2010. It will be regularity relay.

Teams will consist of 10 driver and 10 cars - maximum

The National 3 kilometre track will be used.

Practice/qulaifying Friday - 1.00 pm Start Saturday, finish 1.00 pm Sunday.

A team entry fee of $2500 per team is the charge.

Supplementary Regulations are on the Winton Website.

Get excited, Get a Ford Team together and enter, this is a Team Event.

You do not need a National Race Licence, this is NOT a race, it is a regualrity relay.

You can enter a standard production car, you just need a AASA Club Licence ($50 from Winton or AASA) or a L2S Licence ($90 from CAMS)

We need some more teams to enter with not much time left till easter it would be a shame to see this event lost due to lack of interest. was run back in the 90's with success so let's see it come to life again. So any one you may know that is interested or in other clubs or forums get the word to them to get them in.

Unfortunately the 24 Hour event at Winton over Easter 2010 has been cancelled due to a lack of entries, there was not enough to warrant running the event.

We are extremely dissapointed, however it was a decision that has to be expected sometimes.

It may be resurrected next year, my personal opinion is that the 12 Hour at Bathurst impacted on entries, but stuff like that happens.

Hi Guys,

That's a shame...... I was there many years ago (b4 the extension, when the servo was still across the road!!) and had a friggin' awesome time.
My racecar is in bits, and i know of many who were thinking of doing Bathurst this year...........
Downside for me is that next year i have nationals at easter, (NSW) so if it's resurrected, it'll be 2 years before i get there........

I am pushing to moving it to the long weekend in March as not much else seems to be on then.
