I don't mind the fact she has an accent and was born in the US...

Take a look at the last names of some of the poly's we have in power.. I will wait for her action (or lack thereof) b4 passing judgement.

If anyone thinks they can do better then step up to the plate and take your best shot.

Default Yank Premier in NSW

Half your luck if she adopts Ohio modified car regs. That state has some of the toughest cars in the US and they don't get defected either. The same cars here will have the cops making you put it on a tilt tray. After they defect the crap out of it first!

The Newell Highway!

See this small August 2009 Pdf, the Newell Highway Safety Audit:-
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety...ety_review.pdf

And this 5 November 2009 RTA announcement to reduce the 110km/h limit back to 100km/h:
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/newsevents...peedlimit.html

The 110km/h limit used since the days of Wal Murray (then Nats Roads Fella) was never applied by a safety reference formulae, so what we are seeing around NSW is some sub-standard highways reduce in limit, example; twisty sections of Bells Line Of Road from 100km/h back to 80km/h and other lengths of this road from 100km/h back to 90km/h, - to better reflect the roads design limits.

Such roads were once derestricted up to July 1978, should have been left so, ahh the past.

We may well see 130km/h in NSW within a few years, but only on inter-city full median divided freeway standard lengths, not dual carriageways.

I think its time these rule makers spent a long period of time out in these areas,so they KNOW what happens in the real world.

That safety audit was a crock of crap, there is 200km of Newell Highway between Narrabri and Goondiwindi and it is the straightest and boringest stretch of that highway, at 100km/h there WILL be more accidents as people will be getting frustrated at being stuck behind trucks, caravans and farm machinery longer. Moree had nearly the entire town population sign the NRMA petition against it.
