Default FG et:10.6@135 mph, WSID

Congrats to Yunis & Autotech, Yunis's FG last night @ WSID 10.6@135 mph, 1.8# 60 foot, he 1st ran a 10.7 got the boot then sneaked back in and run a 10.6 then copped the wrath of WSID staff.
Mods are, Autotech Tuned, Process West Intercooler, Herrod Airbox, Autotech Exhaust, GTX 35 turbo, Martini 110 unleaded, Injectors.
Stock converter with ZF tune, street trim.

Car made 452rwkw and speaking to Autotech today they speak volumes about how well the performance numbers are using the Herrod Airbox.
I cant remember a turbo falcon 6cyl run a mid 10@135mph with the airbox on the factory side.

dyno sheet and time slips coming soon.

Maybe I need a GTX !!!

School of thought has always been get an air-box on the turbo side, I cant remember reading/seeing a turbo falcon 6cyl run 135mph with an air-box on the factory side, its a good product that looks like it was factory fitted.

Yes there a US dot approved drag radial like a mickey Thompson drag radial.
Hoosier drag radial has been around for years the availability has never been like the M/T.

Not sure I only know of one other person who used them few years back Glenn from G&D used them on twin turbo VE, he thought they were excellent and they are grooved.
Generally reading Forums in the States they all say Mickey Thompson drag radial is the way to go.
A chat about the topic on a well respected forum goes about 50/50.

You can run a 10 with a F6 factory turbo no problem.
We have had 3 cars Autotech tuned using factory F6 turbo good fuel Martini 110 unleaded 10.92@132mph, 10.80@131mph, 10.81@129 mph all street trim, 10.47@135mph race trim, small FG turbo 11.33@122mph.
Autotech tuned the 1st 11 sec F6 and the 1st 10sec F6, goes back 2006.
Using the 110 unleaded costs a few extra dollars but its cheaper than upgrading your injectors and fuel pump if you want to run e85 and you will make similar power.
60lb injector and single pump process west surge will all work with the 110 unleaded, I chose this option rather than purchasing new injector and double fuel pump to run e85.
The GTX will spool up quicker which would be good for street duties and will make about 30kw more at the top.

Send a PM to CSV_LS1 (Mauz) he has mastered these ZF auto take offs, he got my FG Ute which are heavier than the sedans down to 1.61 - 60 foot with the small standard factory turbo.

IMO, I'd go GTX3582R. I've got the setup for a bigger turbo on my G6ET and considering how cheap you can get a GTX these days brand new with a warranty, it's hard to look past one. The fuel thing is something I'd have to look into, cheers.

If your moving from the small FG turbo then yes I agree as you are upgrading the turbo anyway and price difference is minimal, but also agree with Mark as I have seen as high as 134.56 MPH on e-flex, so the standard BA/F turbo will go 10.XX if setup with supporting mods and tuned correctly.

With regards to fuel, it depends on what injectors you have, if you have 60lbs or smaller than you can tune it on 98 and Race Fuel, if you have 80lbs or larger than you can tune on 98, E85, Race Fuel and Martini's new E85 which is blended with race fuel. But with E85 you need a fuel system that can deliver at least 30% more fuel than a fuel system set up for 98.

You do know that Powerplus fuels make all of Martini's fuels! So if you want to buy it cheaper than what Martini want to sell it to you go direct!

I did!

Powerplus = $2.00 per litre for E98 and it's 122 RON (or 11 points above Martini 110) and $5.50 per litre cheaper! WIN and more WIN!
