Does it run a roll cage?

Makes it even more incredible, sounds like wolf in sheeps clothing!!

Hi David, I am not sure what changes if any were made, Spiro wanted to make sure everything was 100% ready for a 2 day flogging.
I shall ask when I next speak to him...
I should say thanks to you also Dave for being the pioneer on working out how to boost the ZF Auto of the line and then sharing it with the rest of Australia.

They did look very much the same in race trim, but then we have the best color (Rapid) its quicker...

I am more interested in efficiency than out right big power which cant be used unless your in a dyno comp..

Thanks,
I wouldn't think so, this is my only car it gets driven to work the country and approx 3 trips to Sydney every year.
I was lucky that Rod lent me one of his workshop courtesy cars whilst the were preparing mine for the track.
I do believe if we had real auto software or a trans break this would help the car get off the line properly and may have possibly picked up a 10.2#.

Suspension isn't a issue its the way the car lowers at the rear whilst building boost, when you let it go the car thrust forward the back comes up hard and unloads the tyres.
Only a trans brake or big stall (which we cant use) will get the car cleanly of the line...

Mark,

A fantastic effort, and congratulations. It is amazing what you have achieved with your car.

137 MPH is certainly moving, you really do have a yellow rocket. To think that you just put the interior back in and go for a trip is credit to the setup of the car.

All the hard work has paid off, a job well done to all involved. Enjoy the ET, you have truly earnt it.

Cheers

The car looks (and goes) great Mark. I can't believe how much gear you stripped out of her, but it has appeared to do the trick. Well done mate, Go the Rapid B's...

Thanks guy's..

Col once you bolt on those race wheels your in race trim no point going half way, this wont be done again (I think), I had a discussion with Rod he had ideas of going little further its in his veins this drag racing stuff..
Once his Pontiac race car is finally finished this will keep my fix of drag racing satisfied.

A bit late to jump onto this thread Mark (having just arrived back in Perth last night), but just wanted to congratulate you on your achievement here.

Sub 10.50 is a great result, you must be stoked... Mauz did a great job and the car presented well. "There's no school like the old school" was the phrase that came to mind when I drove through the HPR gate late Friday afternoon and spotted the wingless bum and chunky rear boots.

Hopefully there will be some vids to follow, every time I saw the car run I was inside my own car.

Well done to all involved

Daniel

Aerodynamics on a car (EG rear wings) are more useful in extended high speed driving and High speed cornering. In drag racing street cars, it doesn’t make too much difference. The down force that say, a rear wing creates, is not much use at the start line because the car isn't moving fast enough. And when you are moving fast enough for it to produce useful down force, the race is over in a few seconds.

Yes weight, it don’t weigh to much but all the little things do add up.
Speaking to a mate of mine the LS1 guys believe the rear wing will cause some drag
