Sory for the poor quality of the pics...camera batteries were almost flat so I had to rush, but you get the idea.

All done by hand. Good thing about Autoglym is that it is water based, and it buffs off ALOT easier than Meguiars (sp?) polish! Smells good too

Only costs $39.99 too (from Repco), which is pretty good compared to Meguiars (its ease of use pays for itself)...and it has that shine

I used Meguiars Paint Prep/Cleaner first (one coat) then one coat of the Autoglym over the entire car. I also used two coats of the Autoglym on the bonnet and roof, only because the bonnet and roof usually have more contaminants on them. Make sure you use good quality terry towelling cloth and plenty of it (and wash it a few times before you use it).

I highly recommend using Autoglym, its good stuff!

What brand of pod filter are you using, and how do you find it? Any noticable difference in performance and/econ?

Yeah i am happy with the wheels.

um i kinda did it on the cheap side of things lol, it is the one they have form supercheap auto, i believe it is around $40 or something near there.

i have noticed a slight increase in performance especially after about 4000rpm. sorry i havn't really took notice of the economy however i am really happy with it, and wouldn't think of changing it back.

i was running a k&n performance filter before but i believe this pod filter works better so much air goes into the engine.

the induction noise is absolutly insane, it is so deep and loud. at low rpm you can just hear the engine sucking the air in and you hear a nice tssssss sound if that makes sence.

Hows the heat though. Heatsoak to the airbox cost me .3 on the 1/4 mile when I ran at WSID. If your any good with tin snips, make up some shielding around the pod, and/or get some piping from in front of the radiator and route it to feed next to the pod ;)

The wheels are 18's Zanetti (however u spell it)

I got the piping just from a local performance shop, it was just a left over bit from cut off that fitted perfectly, didn't cost me a thing.

You know that pic of the white Focus with the blue GT stripes up the side?
Well is there actually a GT? Does anyone know the story behind the pic?
Personally I really like the look of stripes on most Focii . . . or is that Focususus . . whatever.

I think thats just a modified Focus, I don't think there ever was a real production Focus "GT".

Focus XR5 (ST) with the blue GT racing stripes.


PS: It would be interesting if someone actually made an aftermarket bumper based on the 2004 Focus Concept car.

There is no story behind the pic. Its white with stripes as an option from factory. It's a standard color and strip combination on the LV Focus.

Have a look at ford.com.au, you will see all the colours and stripe options available.
