Default Oil change warning

Should the oil change warning display without exception once oci has been set on the vehicle?

Don't know but it's very easy to reset in a MC mondeo:

Turn off the ignition.
Close all doors.
Turn the ignition key to position II.
Simultaneously press the accelerator pedal and the brake pedal and hold for a minimum of 20 seconds.

The oil change reminder indicator should turn off. This confirms that the reset procedure has been correctly completed.

Not quite sure what you mean? It is simply distance based - on my NZ Mondeo it comes on 20,000 km after the last service.

It can come on also if you have too many failed DPF regen cycles, but I think that was only a problem with the early diesel Mondeos in Europe.
