Question 1.6L EcoBoost Recall - March 2017

Just wondering if anyone on the forums has had their 1.6L EcoBoost updated under the recall (EcoBoost Kuga and Fiesta ST) issued March 2017?

Just had my memory triggered that it's been a year and a half and I've had no follow up from Ford.

My ST hasn't been losing fluid, nor does it run hot but I'll be chasing Ford up!

Cheers,

Ive booked myself in for 31st October for the coolant recall. Apparently parts are available now and they need the car for two days.

I had to call them and ask if the parts were available. I also asked if they had to flash the ECU and the guy went away and came back and said no. So I booked it in and then when the day came I asked the guy I was handing the keys over to again and he said yeah they do flash the ECU at the end...

I have MR230 on the car. The mechanic that did the cam timing adjustment told me that the car won't start without the Mountune configuration loaded. I contacted Mountune after and they confirmed this. Lucky I double checked otherwise I would have been stuck with the only option to return the car to stock.

Anyway Mountune said they were aware of the issue and are working on a update. Just have to wait I guess.

Just a tip to others if your car has an aftermarket tune.

When I called the Ford CRC they told me follow up letters had been sent out (I didn't receive one) (no change of address between letters) the operator then connected me to the nearest dealership and we teed up a time.

Service guy said Ford recommended two days, but he allowed three.

Thanks for the heads up NuMatthu, mines stock as a rock but good to know!
