Default HELP! KH TX3 slow cranking but battery OK

hey I have a KH Laser TX3 and when I try and start it, it cranks slowly like the battery is almost flat. It does this even with a new battery. If I clutch start it, it will go but after it's warmed up it randomly dies while driving (only when driving - it will idle all day and not cut out), like I've turned the ignition off while driving. I clutch start it again and it goes. But when I turn it off and try and crank it again it cranks slowly again and won't start.
No alternator warning light on and the batteries I have tried are new.
Any ideas? Would rather not pay an auto electrician if it's something simple.

thanks heaps.
