You need to be a direct employee of Ford. Dealership employees are just like the public trying to buy a car. No perks....

Ford was doing a deal where dealership employees were also able to get Employee discount, btu that has now ended... It was to clear 08 stock.

Brought my BA04 XR6T with leather and premium sound with Ford employees discount and never worked for Ford. Forgot to mention sister in law was working for a Ford dealer at the time. Saved over $10,000. :
It was the only reason we brought it and never regretted it either. Now if I could just get that discount again on a new FG XR6T I would be down to the nearest dealer in a flash.

Dont think theres massive staff discounts on FPVs? Checking the Ford carpark at the Factory and you hardly see any, plenty of XRs....

It's really simple - Holden are liquidating. Ford need to sell cars at a profit to stay in business, which is their plan.......

I got my G6E-T in December 08 for 44K drive away. They gave me 18K trade in on top of that for my old BA LTD which they later sold for 14K.
I couldn't be happier.

they'd probably make more money selling to employees than through the dealer - they sell the car at close to retail, instead of wholesale, not to mention no dealer kickbacks/rebates etc.

I'm dealership staff at Honda and our dealership will do deals with staff members and give us a good deal, little bit less of a deal for friends though.

Then there is the problem, Honda doesn't have anything worth buying.

Not wrong. I sort of look at it as a reward from Ford for being loyal and getting the rest of my family into over 15 new fords over the years. Ironically, I wasn't even in the market for a new car at the time but after trying for a week I just couldn't walk away from such a deal. 15 months, 14 days, 16 hours, 27 minutes and 33 seconds later since I picked it up and I'm still happy.

You can get a base model euro 4 style side box for $22,000 without on roads. Euro 3 about $1500 cheaper.

Interesting, I have about $23,000 at the moment.

It has to be manual though, I can't get into used at these prices at the moment.
