Default Melbourne XR5T Tuning

On behalf of Hi-Torque Performance Australia [HTP] (VIC) and Autotech Engineering [AE] (NSW) - HTP are offering an opportunity for Melbourne XR5T owners to have their vehicles custom tuned by two of Australia’s most respected tuners:

Spiro Papadimatos, proprietor of Autotech Engineering in NSW with over 10 years of tuning experience, and
Duane Evans, ex-Possum Bourne Motorsports NZ now Managing Director of Hi-Torque Performance Australia are offering their facilities and expertise for Victorian XR5T owners.

In order to unlock the true potential of your XR5T, a custom edit and tune is the most reliable method available. There are two options on offer:

Option 1: Full custom edit and dyno tune using your own supplied FORD SCT X3 Flash device ($600.00)

Option 2: Full custom edit and dyno tune plus sale of FORD SCT X3 Flash device ($1,395.00)

In order to make this happen, there is a minimum requirement of 8 XR5Ts. The more XR5Ts the lower the price.

The date is yet to be decided, however it will be a Saturday, between April - June 2010, and will be arranged to suit the interested XR5T owners. If you are interested, please respond with the following information:

FORD SCT X3 Flash Device Required (Y/N)

A deposit will be required to secure your booking and details will be made available once numbers are confirmed.

You should advertise on the XR5 forums. Those guys would be very keen to hear about this.

Thanks for your response...unfortunately the XR5T forum moderators have removed the post - there I was thinking I was doing a good thing (gulp)...obviously they are not interested...see below response from their moderator:

Hi,

I've moved your original post to the moderators forum for discussion and deleted your second post which contained the same content.

A moderator will contact you separately to discuss your ability to offer goods or services on the forum. In the meantime, please introduce yourself (without the sales pitch), mention your interest in the XR5, be it Focus or Mondeo and have a look around.

Regards,
Loxmyf.

That's a shame. It's good to have options, at least knowing that XR5 tuning is starting to ramp up with more places taking on these cars is a good thing.

Good luck.

And in fact you need to be a sponsor here to advertise like this.......otherwise you are just freeloading on the back of businesses that are supporting the site. Very bad form.

I thought that was a very reasonable response from the XR5 guys.

You are selling a service........great!........but don't come with the BS that you're "doing a good thing for people".... you're promoting your business

Hi Melbzetec,
Not the case, I am a customer only - and you in fact know me from a few dyno days... (red ute).
I have an XR5T now as well. The only way I was going to get the tune I wanted was to get Spiro down from Sydney and work with him and Duane from HTP to rustle up some numbers - that makes my tune affordable.

I don't work for the business, and my business isn't involved other than to organise some like-minded people who want a tune. If this is something the XR5T community doesn't want - then so be it, I'll fly Spiro down myself and pay the full amount. If anyone wants to have a tune - the option is open.

So, next time - have a little think before you post a direct ill-informed comment against me. I am a reasonable guy and normally tolerate forum banter, but in this case - I take exception - especially when I am not in anyway making money out of this day.

Thanks

I can totally see where you're coming from dude. I can see you want to get a few ppl in on the deal so it works out cheaper, but i think it's the way you posted the information. When i first read it, it sounded like you were advertising it for your own business (hence all the flack you've been getting). Maybe if you re-word the post, such as "Hi guys, i can get this great deal if a few of us go for it" etc etc. But yeah, the forums have strict rules regarding deals like this because of the sponsors.

I see where you are coming from, my ignorance in forum politics has problably caused the immediate negitive reaction - so I have sent a message to the XR5T mods and see what they want to do... thanks for your support.

My apologies Argonautica....of course I remember you....I should have recognised your handle.............and I am sorry i have caused offence.

It's just that when you start a post with:
"On behalf of Hi-Torque Performance Australia [HTP] (VIC) and Autotech Engineering [AE] (NSW) - HTP are offering an opportunity for Melbourne XR5T owners to have their vehicles custom tuned by two of Australia’s most respected tuners:"
then it appears to a reasonable person to be a commercial proposition. And I just think its the appropriate for us to support the forum sponsors. We've had a lot of people try it on before

So again, I misunderstood, and offer my apologies.

Great opportunity for the XR5 guys

Are we good??
