Default Not Allowed to Have Capitalised Acronyms?

Saw a post about this the other day by someone and just experienced it myself.

Tried to post 'VCR' and it automatically changes it to 'Vcr'?

Could have been around for ages but I've only just noticed. Is there a reason for this?

Edit: and yet strangely enough it will allow me to to do it here

Seemed like it till you came along

Ever seen the 'Word Association' thread in 'The Bar'? Tried to post the term VCR by itself, but wouldn't let the CR part stay in capitals.

The above 'talking to myself' posts were to demonstrate what I meant. It is hard to describe!
