Default difficult

do you have pics of the engine bay ?

its going to be tight with the intake and then the turbo fitting in
electrical stuff to fit l computeres to map etc

radiator/cooling pipes then you need a better turbo setup
upgrade the brakes if not already
gearbox selection and drive shafts mmmm
then you may l have to redo the engine mount brakets

do you want the thing road ready or for racing thats where the cost comes in and if it passes machinery
price a motor from a engine importer or wrecker first cost depends on condition as well
lots of home work to do

Hey laser S, I have an 88 telstar TX-5. These motors are 2.2L 12v fuel injected and known as F2 (N.A) and F2T (Turbo). Compared to the learly laser motors they are a fair bit bigger, it fills the engine bay quite well. Anyhow, recently I turbocharged my tesltar using a skyline turbo (T25), full custom istalation by myself. Runs well and boosts quick (8psi). If you have any specific questions on these motors please ask. The earlier Telstar motors such as the 87 came in a turbo carby setup. These were 2L 8v carby engines (Fe). There are also rarer 88+ Fe3 motors which are 2.2L 16v double overhead efi. These are the bee's knee's of the Ford/Mazda F series.

No friggin way that will bolt straight in. Not even a B6 will bolt straight in, and that's almost the same engine as the E5!

It would be a hell of a lot cheaper to just buy an E5T, it won't be as powerful as what you want but it'd still be a lot of fun.
