Default Found On Rubbish Dump (FORD)

So went to my cousins farm down south of WA and came across this graveyard for old cars, XL had a lucky escape, tree hasn't actually fallen on it.
Some good chrome trim on it that i'll go back for.
The moss on the windscreen is a good sun protector.

Few old HRs, one a wagon converted to a shootin' wagon, and Vanguards too, saw a windowless FB panel van too, still had the Bakery sign writing on it, very cool.

And a really, really rusted out FJ, I scored the bonnet part of the grill to hang in the shed.

Oooooh, an XL Deluxe wagon!
I've just sent you a PM, hoping it may still have a trim piece that I'm missing on mine.

Make sure you send this to MIA @ Muscle car Magazine. They seem to take anything nowadays

That wagoooon has a lot of expensive interior trim and parts. Grab it all.

Yes the motor was still in it and tranny, so I guess the rest of it's there.
I think the carby was missing from memory.
Luckily it hasnt been used for target practice.
Yes pump up the tyres, get the Karcha onto it, new carby and she's ready to go.

G'day....For..... Ongoing.... Reliability.... Durability
.....That's what Ford stands for too...

There's a former council carpenter (now retired) here who owns a green 1965 XP Hardtop with the 170 Pursuit engine and a white interior...It's bloody beautiful..
No shed sitter either..He drives it every day and it's his only car.. At a guess I reckon he's had it at least 20 years....He got rid of the missus a few years back and kept the car...Maybe she said
"Well Glenn it's either me or the car" .. Maybe he said.."I'll just wash the Falcon and then I'll come and help you pack "...
I think he loves his XP that much...
Cheers Rod...

Some more of the XL. That tail gate looks toasted Pepscobra, but that bit of trim you're chasing is there, not very good nick by the look of it, but will score it for you next time.

Been trying to find that trim piece for a very long time. Very very grateful.

Mums old Benz had a hard time backing up in reverse.. that was after a decade and she persisted for another 5 years. Hopefully the 15 model doesn't crap out.

Just jokes mate, I'm sure your one of the better retired ones out there who knows what a real car is. The amount of elderly I see driving the Toyotas around holding up traffic is phenomenal
