I think the 2.7 EB makes sense for the Ranger, as the Colorado is reportedly ditching the 3.6 DOHC V6 (Commodore engine) for the 2.7T I-4, which is great because the 3.6 has absolutely no low end torque whatsoever, accompanied with horrible fuel economy.
