Default 65535 Private Messages unread.

I've got a bug with my PM system, seems I'm very popular!

Unsure on whether this has hit me alone or is possibly a general glitch. Thought I'd give a heads-up. My PM system works normally, all my msgs are there, it's just the unread number has gone skewiff.

Luckily I don't have 65535 "New Private Message at Australian Ford Forums" emails in my inbox :P

Cheers

It's a simple fix and was mentioned post the server crash that some users PM and post counts might get reset to a hex number (65535 being one of them).

Cheers

I tried doing a search for the fix for this because I had the same problem but I couldn't find it. I just deleted all my sent and received PM's and everything is back to normal.

while on the pm subject i have noticed a few people getting banned/warned/told off for not taking an issue to a mod via pm.

to be honest i don't think people know to do this or maybe they do and get ignored.

just an observation and not worth starting a new thread for.

When you join you agree to abide by the site Terms and Conditions. It is a good idea to read it before agreeing to it - it states there that if you disagree with any mod decision you must take it to PM not discuss it publically.

Any chance you could fix my PM's too please. I have just logged on and it tells me 65534 private messages.

Cheers
