Default New Ford Courier Ad

Hey guys, have you caught the new Ford Courier ad on tv yet? The one with the 'blokes' (he he) at the bbq? I love it, but wondered what others thought.

Had me in fits of laughter, made me want to buy one! :

I don't remember a "beyoodafull", it's basically a bunch of 'guys' at a bbq, then their mate "Johnno" (??) turns up in his Courier ute. If you haven't seen it I won't spoil the laugh

It aired last night, only saw it the once. Looking forward to seeing it more. Ford Marketing should give themselves a big pat on the back for this one!

Might be a funny add, but can't hide the fact the Bravo/Courier are shite compared to the Hilux/Rodea/Navara :togo:

I love that ad, personally think its one of Ford Australias best, but thats not really a great achievement, I've seen better ads from my dads uni students than from Ford

Yep, it is a re-hash of the older one just saying it now has the most powerful V6 in its class. I must admit though, it is a great ad.

Both our rodeo's have vinyl floors and have done 250,000kms each with absolutely no dramas. The V6 does have shit fuel economy but its a drop in the ocean compared to all the other expenses we have per hour.

Nothing compares to the 140kw v6, and the shit all over the competition for on road ride quality, and they are very popular. I loved them and was sad to see them go and replaced with two Navara 4wd Turbo Diesels.

But the Navara uses 50% less fuel than the Rodeo so 750kms form $60 is better than 350km form $55, but when it costs $5/hr to drive and we get payed $120 by our clients, you can see that for the sake of 50c per hour, its negligable.

I miss being able to roar into traffic and keep up, I keep finding myself holding people up now :(

And the Hilux is the best! Just the absolute dearest too :(

Anyone have a copy of that on PC by any chance?

i thought i had seen it before....its not a bad ad though...

they've got the 1 pulling the road train out of the mud as welll, i rekin that 1 is even better.

1 problem they seem to have with XR/GT commercials etc, is they never unleash the cars potential! you barely ever here the note of the 8's etc!

and is there any marketing for the typhoon/tornado?!!?! i've seen none!

1 billboard, and it was for FPV, not the GT or Typhoon in particular...

Join the club! I do the same with the V8 Supercar commercial from Channel 10 when they go "And Holden are saying 'What the F#!*'" using the Ford logo.

I loved the old add where the guy wishes for a ute, then adds the pallet of beer on the back.

The roadtrain ad's for an F-Series not a Courier tho.

I love both ads. Think they're both old ones tho that have been revisited. S'pose it all costs money tho.

One of my mates name is John & he drives a Courier with a 5L out of a EL in it so whenever he picks us up in it we all talk like that.

The Problem is that there is a Standard for Car Advertising that all the car makers have agreed to and the State Governments are enforcing. You are not allowed to sell a car through acts that could be considered reckless driving.

That is why the Mazda Zoom Zoom precision driving ad was caned, because it showed cars being driven in a manner that would be considered reckless on the roads.

Look at the Focus add, with the Rally Fans on the side of the road. The Car never gets out of shape or appears to be going any faster than 60kph.

It is a quandary, and while the Papers keep telling Punters about the completely legal and intoxicating sound of an XR8 or GT, when is was advertised before (in the UTE add at the end) it was considered as very much skirting the line of reckless driving.

The Mitsubishi add that had a go at both the Falcon and Commodore was pulled for this reason.

For those that did not see that add it had a Commodore a Magna and a Falcon on a dirt road. The Magna had Ordynski driving and he said something like these big 2 wheel drive models can keep up with the Magna on the Straights but when it gets to the turns . . .

Outside and above image of both the commodore and Falcon Getting Tail happy on the gravel where the Magna just drives on through

. . .The Magna Leaves them for dead.

It is unfortunate, but that is what happens.
