Default Locked EL stereo

Hey guys,

I have a locked EL falcon stereo. Its the fairmont/fairlane double din unit with CD stacker. I bought it requiring the unlock code. Actually replaced the head unit but now taken it back to stock and was given what I was told was the code when the car was serviced. Unfortunately it was incorrect. Am wondering what is required to get the unlock code for the so that I can get it working again before I sell the car.

Thanks
Jason

Ahhhhh sorry was at work and was trying to quickly get through the post. It is now only saying CODE. Had has err but it has gone. I dont believe that the headunit in the car came with it because I feel it was upgraded to a high end unit at some point in its life. Anyway I have the serial number (thats the easy bit as I took pics of it when I pulled it out last time as I was told the CODE was on the unit). When I go home I will get the VIN and go from there.

Thanks
