Hey guys,

Yep I have Lumen8's above..

Its an interesting shape with a couple of tricky angles but we will get there.

I can copy the one on my LTD so all good there.

Hope to have something soon.

Kind of the same thing I'm thinking of. If we can get cad fils or STL files, I was going to approach some local metalworkers to see what options there are about getting them made out of stainless steel or aluminium or something like that. I don't know what I would find, but it can't hurt to look.

Have to wait for the cad or stl files first tho.

Hi Lumen8,

Been a while!

I finally have the CAD drawings coming back today for the LTD bonnet badges, LTD boot badge and wheel centres for the BF LTD.

Please get in touch with me for the return of your VERY KINDLY lent Ghia bonnet badge and for a sample of the LTD bonnet badge for your review/appraisal.

Thank you for your patience.

Cheers!

Done.

There seems to be more demand than supply of these things so it will be good for everyone that wants one to be able to get one.

I think they look great even on BA Falcons (especially with the ghia look/grill) , and someone on here (Linz if i remember right?) had put one on an e-series and even on those it looked good imo.

I have put a ghia one on my AU Fairlane and i think it looks better than the bonnet mascot they come with (both the ghia and ltd mascots, ive had both on there).

I think it looks a bit more modern and clean, really suits it... and covers the mascot hole even. So there is potential use there also. TL50 fairlanes already had something similar if im not mistaken, and ive seen repro stainless ones floating around...

...but I think the BA emblem looks more modern, it has sharper squarer lines instead of the 'new edge' rounded look that even found its way onto the bonnet emblem on TL's.

(AU bonnets do have slightly less curve than a BA but i managed to find a method to attach it and you cant pick that it wasnt made for it)

Well….

After a long time tweaking with prototypes I think we’re now finally there!

If you’re after one of these PM me.

I have lightly sanded this one to remove the lines from the 3D printer. This will be up to the end user to finish the surface to your specs. Buy a couple of these off me and I’ll throw in a new 2000 grit sand paper disc.

$25 each plus postage.

Chrome wrap them and epoxy paint the lettering and will look nearly identical.

Can also do a Ghia one if required.

I can also do BA MK1 LTD wheel centres and BA Mk2 and BF GHIA and LTD wheel centres.

Ok so this is probably the first one of these to be chromed.

A class metal finishers at Lonsdale did great work as usual. I am yet to paint the 'LTD' part obviously, which needs some black enamel in there to replicate the originals.

They also did an AU-BF mirror scalp for me that turned out great, better than fords chrome upon close inspection.

Heres the links to the above images in large size, 2500px wide.

The chrome is flawless by the way, any blemishes in the pics that may look like teeny marks are just remnants of my grubby fingerprints, the chromes that good that youd have to handle the emblem with gloves to avoid that.
