Default Melbourne auction ... four Falcon utes etc

https://burnsandco.hibid.com/catalog...rne-victoria/?

This Sunday, 6 Dec. Four Falcon utes, some Falcon sales brochures, Falcon parts, Leyland Mini parts. The utes are pretty amazing. I'd like to bid on/buy one of them but it's probably not a good idea.

There are 12 pages of stuff and the utes are on page 12.

Been restored and had a few changes along the way would be my guess. Brown vinyl floor mat under the carpet.

Anyone notice the ryobi 5 speed drill press at $210?

Old man picked one up for about $150 20 years ago.

tbh i've been looking at 1 of these for myself.. the xg with the canopy, but i've since discovered its been re sprayed from it's original silver to the current baby blue,
Ive gone and seen it in person, it was a full respray so will need a motor out , fully stripped to be put back to silver

the xf is immaculate... i believe deceased estate of a batchelor

There are some rear bumperetes in the auction. I guess they would be from two of the utes. I looked thru all the pages yesterday. However, I didn't note what page they were on.

Blown away by this. Who the hell kept all of this sort of ****, from so many years ago???? Looks like original sales paperwork and everything. I get it that people over the last 10 or so years have maybe kept paperwork for their pride and joy more upmarket gt's xr8's etc. But from 1967, 1995....for "common-issh" everday standard type falcons??????

And so many things changed on the XR.supposed to,be green, now blue.bought as a 200, but has red 170 rocker cover and aircleaner and I am certain it would have been bought with green interior not that red/ brown that it has been retrimmed with.

Yep. And the outback for 20 grand was the 1 i was looking at for myself tbh..i went to see all 4 last week prior to auction. The outback was supposed to be silver yet it was stripped and copped a full respray in that blue which threw me off tbh.. i wonder in the buyer realises its gonna need a full respray?

Great results, financially. I hope the past owner also enjoyed having them as he obviously preferred.

Prices on everything is so crazy inflated. $310 for 3x XF ute taillights that are stuffed with cracks and holes sitting next to ford boxes. They are probably the old taillights that were removed from one utes and replaced with NOS ones. What kind of drugs do you need to take to make a purchase like that.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they weren’t genuine Ford seeing they were in Taiwanese taillight boxes.Presume they are still available new for $30-40 each. Then $1600 for pr of XB sed taillights.Think people get this, you won’t beat me metality, but it backfires on them when they stop tp realise what they have just done

How about the pair of XB sedan tail lights for $1600? The Ford parts boxes in the photo with them are two different sizes and I'm pretty sure those lamps are used...

On another note though, the old chap was obviously very fustidious. One of the lots is an Electrolux vacuum cleaner identical to one my mum had in the mid 60's. The one in the auction pic still had the cardboard box it came in. That thing is 60 years old!

Just amazing how well he looked after his gear. May he rest in peace.

I watched this auction, I was floored with the prices that the items were selling for. The haters will hate but our Falc's are sky-rocketing in value!
