Mitsubishi Starion Turbo....still looks good but very rare.
Holden Torana UC hatchback...the last of the Toranas....seriously rare.
Volvo 240 1975 with retract bumper...still looks like a weapon and no rust

I think the Nissan S15 would have to be car i would rate as the best for aging beautifully.

It may still be the victim of some bad ricer taste (with all the body kits and such), but it still has the good look curves and lines when left stock.

equal 2nd to that would the W209 CLK55 and BMW E46 M3. Both great cars that still look like a modern design (shame that the E46's had all the subframe issues tho).

3rd i would rate as the BA GT/GTP. They are coming up on 10 years almost now and still look as aggressive as ever when seen out on the road and i think will become a genuine collectable with more years to come.

Nope. AU Fairlane, AU LTD.

AU was the first model to have the same designation as the base model.

The only people that call them that are eBay sellers.

Consider what else that other makers were offering in terms of shape back in 1979 when these babies came out, in particular the next generation S class (the boxy ol thing Diana died in) and its amazing to note that this lovely shape vehicle is so old. Definitely still looks classy and expensive to this very day (560SEC Coupe in the pic above)
Absolutely agree. I don't think there was a better looking large sedan released before the W126 S-class, and it remained until 1991 until it was superseded by the W140.

It's one of the best looking cars of its time. I remember seeing it lots when I was a kid in Hong Kong growing up (there are lots of S-classes there) and was my favourite car. Maybe one day, I might even buy one as a restoration project ...

Another vote for the AU here, i mean this looks no older then 5 years in my eyes.

Another vote for AU from me. Love the AU... should have bought an AU.

But still a soft spot for this car. Wedge shapes are timeless:

I love the E-series shape, but of the E-series, the ED is my least favourite, while my favourite is the EBII (and EL). I don't like the revised grille on the ED. EB's front end looks better, in my view.

I might be biased here, but the XP Coupes still look good and turn heads

Lamborghini Muira and 993 & 930 911 Porsches.

And while I'm biased, I think the CV8 Monaro still looks pretty current from the outside anyway.
I don't think mine looks 10yrs old.

Despite what I've seen said in previous pages about EF/EL Falcons, I think they have aged very well. Still look contempory among other cars when you see them on the road nowadays.

Agreed, the CV8 looks as fresh as a week old i reckon (In a good way) i like em.

I still remember my ex g/f her dad is a motoring journo and when the monaro was released he had one for a week and on the way to return it to Holden we were followed by some sort of chopper at low altitude whether they were admiring the monaro i dunno but it was kool. It was in that Flame orange colour.
Id own a monaro in a heart beat
