Sooooo. Back I am mmmmmmmmmmmm. Done some we did. mmmmmmmmm . Good it was........... mmmmmmmmmmmmm .

Boot filler panel was first up. Dragged out the old repairs which were done by a blind man and some strips of flashing his dog nicked rom the tip.

There was more than that but I digress. Decided I didnt wanna fix it no more so I yoinked it out.

Off to fomoco and back home with the panel and lowers as well.

Cleaned the area up, not too bad of a parcel shelf actually. tops as.
Made some curvy bits to replace the blind mans work

Beginning to tack the new one into place

Spot welding across the seal lip.

Bottom right filler panel

This is a pic of how messy my shed is :P

Bottom left removerised.

Found this bit under rear bar on the lip seal. Its goned now too

Sorry for all jmpin round the place but its what I did coz the boot seals were givin me trouble so I kept walkin away from em for bits at a time.

Rust around top or rear window seal (near roof)

Still workin on post, just posted to see what i was up to

Morning had broken, The sun came out , then the rain, then the sun again.... Today we.........
Filled the diff with oil before we forgot ... (2.3 litres)

Tar Painted under the rear

Put the diff in

Found a naughty in the drivers side floor well. Fibreglass

Now Steel

Fixed the 100 holes where the rear seat has been in and out so much that it required bolts to hold it in. 2mm steel sheet welded in so we can drill thru that and be all sweet.

That was it coz we were lazy as. . .

Does anyone have a rear sway bar fitted ?. The one that bolts under the diff on plates (look at diff pic). The link pins were bent when we got the car, some may remember from info day....... Got new pins as you can see hangin down, but there is still no way the sway bar will fit. I really need to know length of your link pins and if someone is real nice a pic or 2 of mounting points both on diff and body if possible ?

I'm not sure if these are of any help;

First couple of posts
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...4&page=3&pp=30

I have not connected the sway bar to the body/bolts as yet as the diff is too far down. I was going to wait until I was ready to put the car down onto the wheels so as to take up the weight of the car, onto the diff. Therefore, the distance should be less and it should all bolt up, I hope.

Cheers for the pics, I am interested to see if yours bolts up ok. Here is a shot of the 2 sway bars I have. The black one came off dannis car albeit with bent link pins. The red one is a spare that I tried as well. I am honestly not sure which , if either is for a 9"........... I am at a loss to be honest.

Just looking at the two sway bars and recalling my XY, the red bar looks like the correct one for the 9". The rounded section over the diff looks the same as mine.

So I took some myself. Hope they help.

Looks like I better get some new bushes These are a bit cracked.

Our sway bar is the same as the red one you got there Doc.

Cheers Jack

Are you sure I really said that? Remember... we are catching up tomorrow. Would you like to retract that statement?

Looking forward to seeing Danni's coupe in the flesh. The photos just don't do it justice

My diff has a small plate welded on for the bush to sit on. You can see part of it in the last two pics.

This is how and what my body mounts look like.....

This be how it mounts to the diff.

,note the 1/4 plate that sort of stops the u bracket from bending. Got a measurement of the link pin off a mate and his is 8" . mine is only 6.5" (no jokes ). But a longer link pin wont fix it either. Hmmm.

Hey Paull, have u tried to bolt yours up yet mate ?

Okey, thanks for the ban Jack. N top partay too Col. Everyone there was cool as. I have been slack as not updaterising this, I have done some more stuff since the sway bar saga. This shady bloke goes into the music shop and asks the salesman if they had anything by the doors.... he says 2 cameras and a security guard now PI** OFF ! .

Okey, Update time. Sooo xmas morning dawned with the sounds of birds chirping and breakfast in bed kids yelling and carrying on. Merry xmas etc, gimme me stuff, lalalala. And lookit ! . I scored a vroom vroom.

It dont look like that no more :( .

Here is a pickature of my cat. His name is Dougie (the pizza cat)

This is how he drinks water outta a glass.

Okay, got that out of my system.......... I got hinge bushes from ebay and was a little sus coz they give dimensions in metric and we all know metric was a silly thing in the 70's.

But I needn't have worried coz they wented in ok, had to draw file the mating surfaces of the hinge to make em fit so they are tighter then a fishes farter at forty fathoms now.

Did em all of course.....

More to come, I just posting in sections coz last time i did a big post , something timed out and I lost the lot and had to start again . cry sob etc....
