When I logged on to the AAMI website to get a list of my payments I have made to them I get this:
![]() What a load of BS. I did log out then back in, nope. No dice. I asked the virtual assistant for a chat. Nope, can't do that online either. For a experiment I asked to get a quote while I was logged into my account. It treated me like I wasn't logged in. It asked me for everything. Policy number, phone number. The number of claims etc etc etc. Going back to shannons. /Rant

Here we go again, 2 posts in as many minutes.. No haven't been drinking...
I needed to buy some razors. No biggie as I had one left and just started using a fresh one... Any who, jumped on Ebay found a 14 pack delivered within 2 days for $25.65. Thought this was a super deal, as I normally pay $7 for a 4 pack at Woolies. Earlier I get an email from Australia Post to say my delivery will arrive tomorrow. 23/04/2025 Checked the tracking number in the email and it's legit. That bugged me cause I hadn't purchased anything from Big W since I was a teen. Then I jumped back on Ebay to try and cross reference etc. No luck, as the email had zero info apart from: It's on it's way. From Big W, tracking number blah blah blah. Then out of curiosity jumped on Big W website, and sure enough they sell razors, like who knew? Not me obviously. I thought that Big W only sold clothes and toasters stationary etc. this is what I found on the current Big W web site: ![]() Man, spewin a bit about that. I was talking to a friend a while back and she mentioned a term I had not heard of before, that being: Drop Shipping. Interesting concept. That got me thinking about how to capitalise on these specials. Buy up big when somethings cheap, then sell it on when you can. Obviously it has to be something everyone: uses, and be non gender specific. I can think of quite a few off the top of my head: Shampoo, deodorant, any personal hygiene type products. End of posts for tonight in this thread I hope ![]()

Think the worst that happened in the street we were living in at the time, was a young driver deciding the end it all. We lived at the top of Terrigal (John Gray close) over looking the Skillion on a little access road which ended at a sheer drop over the cliff and into the sea. We had only just been there for a couple of weeks and invited my mum up for a peaceful weekend, (we thought) of course we woke to have several sirens screaming past the house then 2 helicopters buzzing over our front verandah. Mother dear couldn't wait to get back to the city the next morning.

My Dr. last visit, 1st offered that...."no thanks", then a Shingles jab, "no thanks" & then how about Tetanus? FFS! Wouldn't supply the new pain killers that my specialist did x2, while waiting on a new Gov. Authority.... i'd better leave it at that.................. |

I don’t recommend shingles on the eyes, it’s painful and the eye specialist is expensive. That (shingles) and chicken pox are two vaccines I rate.
Anyway, my gripe today stems from recent wisdom tooth removals. One wound has been slow to heal, frequently becoming reinfected. In the early morning it purged a small (?!) flake of jawbone. No wonder it’s been sore! And not so much hate as resolve; today is Yom HaShoah, the annual marking of WW2’s Holocaust (known as the “Shoah” in Hebrew). Despots are still looking to genocide as a legitimate goal, and people should continue to inform themselves about how this can be practically opposed by actions they choose a part in. אהבה |

Jesus thats a decent piece....did they not properly clean the area up after they'd finished the removal ?
Should be on the mend now that's no longer wedged in there. |

Yes, mostly I’ve had little chips of 2-3mm and they come out sooner. They were probably trying to wrap up the job a bit quickly.
Wondering if all the jaw-clenching at work on stuck exhaust bolts, is what got it slowly moving to the top of the hole! ![]() |

You have not been in bed for long and the Police Chopper hovers over the area and wakes you up. No Police Car sirens.

Sat next to a phone twit in the cinema tonight.
Movie hadnt started yet but its moments away so all lights are out, except his. Couple of quick looks during the film.... time check maybe, but doesnt need full brightness. Someone else was playing music from their phone during the ads and as the film began. Funny shoutout to the British fella behind me telling someone off "Could you please make less noise while you are eating" It was Pink Floyd live in Pompei, so I guess everyone thought everyone else had seen it before. Its not hard to sit quietly in a cinema for 2 hours. Those snack packets are extra loud in there too (phone guy had a packet in his coat). Probably munchies being a Floyd film. |

One of the satellite towns in my area is having issues with hoons doing burnouts in front of their local cemetery. I'd dare say these idiots would ignore that sign, although maybe not now that its plastered all over social media.

Or the end of my street, which is close to a roundabout. EVERY SINGLE Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening from about 10pm till 2am, the hoons use that roundabout for drift practice. Then, they race from street to street, all to the tune of a redlining Ecotec or Barra with a horrible sounding exhaust. And the cops do nothing about it because they are busy sorting out the druggies. I have to sleep with ear plugs in.

Neighbour’s VE SS has the climate stuck recently on full heat, full fan demist. He’s just been made redundant and no longer has a work ute; this now is his only car.
Been reading up on what might be required to fix it. Sounds horribly complicated and that’s compared to the BA onwards climate control module. |

Dash out, book time is something like 24hrs. Not a job I cbf doing. Put one into a shop and probably won’t get any change from $5k. Then run the risk of some half **** doing the job and it’s returned to me with broken dash trim/rattles etc. Quote:
So every day there’s POS straight pipe diesel 4wds/utes thrashing it past, usually speeding while people are walking their dogs and kids are out on the foot path. Some of them drive past the no vehicle access sections of the beach and just go where they feel like, just the typical ****wit in a lifted Patrol/Cruiser etc with no regard for anyone or anything. Been thinking about applying for the police force although I’m about 24 months away from being in a financial position to take the pay cut which by then I’d prob be too old, but if I were successful I’d try and defect these POS off the road. |

A neighbour has goats. They've been pretty good since he reluctantly secured the fencing properly. Yesterday I was out in the yard when I saw one in my back paddock. I saw him to let him know about it and he said he was really busy and would get it in about half an hour.
I finished what I was doing and went up to the house. About 45 mins later I hear all this yelling. He's out there in my back paddock screaming out for the goat, which, apparently, disappeared from my back paddock. Now he's screaming at me for not watching his goat while it was at my place and it's my fault it's disappeared... |

Did that get your goat?
An acquaintance’s wife had a pet goat, they used to tether it behind the café they ran. A fellow from the next town’s footy team started raping it on weekend nights when he’d left the pub. So they kept it at my property thereafter - from where it was subsequently stolen. Last edited by Citroënbender; 27-04-2025 at 10:14 AM. |

Small towns and boredom; everybody has taken everyone else for a test drive at some point. So the fellow probably just saw it as fresh meat.
