My EF Ghia has a nicer interior then those VE's!!!
You can't be serious with the bolded comment, i'd love to hear your reasoning behind it.

As for EF Ghia interior being "nicer" then VE interior...i'm a Ford man too but please, stop embarrassing yourself mate.

the blunt nose, square headlights, massive wheel arch flares etc...all very conservative and realitively outdated.

Looks is a very subjective thing. Some like the minimalist almost office look in their homes, others like organised clutter. When it comes to cars the exterior portions on any car has probably been done before. Tubbed, flared and planished guards coupled with fats were a thing of beauty, hardly conservative, in the seventies and I think they work very well in the VE, if only for nostalgic reasons. Interiors are also highly subjective, but one thing for sure is that Holden or Ford, they will last longer in our conditions and climate than the majority of imports do.

IN regards to tuning for these, it says it can run anything from 100% petrol to E85, however the properties of the fuels are that different I don't see how you can mix and match as you please? The tuning to run 100% petrol and E85 aren't exactly similar.
Holden have a partnership or something with Caltex. Caltex are aiming roll out E85 at 100 locations in the next 12 months.

VA was a Torana concept that never went into production

I 'll give ya some reasoning. firstly he used the word nicer, which I would have to agree with, the ef/el was one of the nicest allround interiors ever. the ve has plastic crap that looks and feels like it will fall apart any minute now,eg the window swithces and handbrake are an absolut joke.

I Think the AU3 / TE Interior Tops it all. Though i do really like the FG's Interior.
As for nice holdens. My Votes with the VY.

That is in actual fact just and XR dash, i think you are refering to the high series dash with climate control. I tend to agree the high series dash looks 10x better then VE. I also agree about VY/Z IMO they look quiet good.

Yeah thats what i was referring to, thanks for the correction. My mum owns an F6 (Jealouse :P), ive owned an EL, an AU2 XR6 and my XR8 now and i still think the better pick of them all for interior was my XR6. I regret selling it to be honest. Anyway back to subject before it goes off topic.
Will be interesting to see what the next one after the VF will be. The things i've been reading though i dont think there will be a next one. The way the markets going Holden wont last another 3 years.
Cheers.
Rodney.

As others have mentioned, VT was the most popular Commodore, not the VE.

Maybe you are embarrassing yourself? The VE door trim grab handle looks like it belongs on a 1970s Datsun. EF/EL Fairmont Series interior was of better quality than AU or BA IMHO - at least in plastics as they seemed to hold up better in the taxi industry.

Yeah i agree that looks quite horrid to be honest. Better than AU i think is a bit far, BA i will agree.
I Personally thought the VY SS etc Interior was nicer than the VE.
Cheers.

A bit unfair comparing a Fairmont Ghia to a base model VE. I think this image would be more appropriate.

Mate most new models in a cars range will acquire new wheels, current FPV's aside.

in regards to the fuel maps switching from E85 to Petrol, I'd imagine the high need for a wideband O2 sensor to auto tune the car as your driving.

Just relying on interpolation based on a sniff sensor isnt a very precise method.

Yeah copy that, I remember back when the III's were coming out an out fleet manager had an AUIII Futura in the interim whilst waiting for the BA's the surface and it was the first AU I didn't mind the look of...
