Some of these posts quite literally sicken me. The thread was started over a poor bloke that got the crap beat out of him for his car. Its very sad the poor bloke wasn't insured, but I'm quite certain he doesn't need any crap from all these keyboard warriors going on over insurance. Put yourselves into his shoes, If you blokes had said that to me in face after an incident like this, I'd wanna knock your block off....

Feel for the guy, as another poster said you'd try and drive away at all costs if faced with that situation.

I can't believe this guy is being crucified by some for not having insurance like he's some kind of criminal - not as if he was driving an unregistered vehicle.

NARRE Warren police are on the hunt for a car they believe was stolen over the weekend.

Police said a 23-year-old from Narre Warren South was driving a grey Ford XR6 sedan along Pound Road on Sunday 11 April at 3am when he stopped at the Shrives Road intersection.

Two men got out of the car in front and approached him while at the intersection. The victim also got out of his car. Police said the man was then hit and was left with a cut to his chin and abrasions to his face and left arm, before the attackers drove off.

Second story has his age different by a year and location also different. Weird (but that's the media for you).
so now it's an intersection, no mention of turbo, earlier, no unconsciousness..

actually sounds like your old car now Bob

that's the second car stolen (and reported) in this area in a week

I believe both stories are of the same event, just that some details are slightly different between both articles.

That intersection is outside Mobil Oil Australia, as found on Google Earth.

I live near some suburbs where there is lots of Islanders. Some are nice, some are thugs. Lots of instances where Islander thugs have bashed people, it's fact. The thugs are starting to rub a lot of Aussies the wrong way.

What goes around comes around........

i hope he is doing ok although most people seem to be slaging him off for not having insurance which has nothing to do with him being a victim of crime.im supprised nobody has had a stab at him and trying to see if he has health insurance.

Heh... doesn't surprise me the least bit. Around this part of Melbourne, where I grew up, the offensive term removedused to try and jump us all the time. Got us on a couple of occasions, and there has been a few times where my buddies and I were chased by groups of 20-30 all with weapons. Never ran so fast in my life.

Yep, agreed. I see no relevance to having insurance. Like insurance will prevent this from happening. Just like speed cameras don't prevent fatalities.

Not a good thing at all. Gang violence is spiraling out of control in Australia and in my experience most gangs are made up of various groups of ethnic backgrounds.

Feel sorry for the bloke that is in hospital and lost his car. Its not like he needed insurance as he didn't have an accident so the uninsured thing is irrelevant apart from he owes 11k on a car he has lost. One day these clowns will try this on a person who is trained in dealing with this sort of shyte and will serve them up good and proper.
This is what society is coming to shouldn't be a suprised at another senseless bashing just in the wrong place at the wrong time, the ethnicity of the offenders is not limited to any group unfortunately just have to be on your guard when your out this happens far to often nowdays.

I cannot believe the racial rubbish that is on this page. When I last heard, Australia was made up of people from many different parts of the world - that is what being an Australian means. Another thread this week had some wonderful Aussie commenting on Aboriginal people in such a disgraceful way that it caused a great AFF member to 'lose it' and had himself temporarily banned. From what I have read these native people probably have the right to call themselves Australian too.

I suggest you all keep your comments about different communities to yourself as the devil always jumps up and next time it may be your ethnic roots.

Terrible thing to be attacked over a car. Thanks goodness he is alive to tell the story. The lesson here is, safety ,whether you are a man or a woman - no-one is safe out there when alone.

While I'm sure you aren't saying that, the car being uninsired is irrelevant.

That would be one of the dumbest posts I have ever read on AFF. Congratulations.
For those you who assumed the worse and jumped to the wrong conclusion, allow me to elaborate.

Anyone who has read my posts in the past would know how I feel about those quote choose to be uninsured. Hence my post.
Not once did I say the assault was deserved or warranted.
