The glass BBQ brigade are doing fire sales, $7500 for LS powered bougie Commo

The Holden buy swap sell groups are the best comedy you'll experience nationally, this fine glass BBQ enthusiast specimen is currently in the care of Bacchus Marsh Towing for 30 days (mine was too at one stage).

It's about $1300 in fees to get it back, might be able to drop that off the price for anyone keen on a cheeky clapped out shitbox

Is that for real? wow.

OK stuff I watch continues to fall, seeing asks at dealers:
Jag F Pace saw a 31 ask
Jag XE now high teens asks, these had got below 30 just before covid and then they rocketed to a high 30s cheapest ask, now how they have fallen
RRS L494 petrols dealer seen a sub 40K ask, cheapest ask was 55-60s in covid
RR Velar has a private asking 47 - these held above 75K for so long after covid
VF Calais wagon 6's hovers around the 20K ask now, about 24 2 years ago.

In economics land, inflation came in this week at 3.6% rather than the 3.4% consensus - still down on last year, but remaining more sticky than they would like. Thus they think less pressure on RBA to lower rates sooner, which means the squeeze will continue.

Back when ford dealerships were worth walking into where you could buy a basic sales rep car that’s faster than the current best seller.
These were a limited run in NZ but a sharp looker for the day, V6 and manual.
They’d have looked good next to an EL XR in the showroom.

Covid pricing on this one.

I love the E31, especially the 850, but drug money

I'm noticing more of the post-classic Falc and Commy prices returning to reality.

Yep, market has completely tanked now. There are cars back to pre-COVID prices that aren't selling. Cars that would have sold within a week 5 years ago have been on the market for months. I have a lot of nice straight cars saved and they aren't moving.

Lot of LS powered Commodores going at decent prices now, Commodores are always the first cars to be liquidated in tough economic conditions as the glass BBQ enthusiasts need to raise funds to keep shard in their pipe.

It's a more expensive world compared to the cheap FM bottle bong world of the 1990s, where LC Torana 2 door shells were $300 and unwanted.

Just some good common garden variety wholesomeness I found

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ring...dan/1322745148

beautiful, got the dual airbags on the classic too, low kms

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/boss...-au/1321935565

the legend, and a truly rare S version, at pocket money, how can you not love such a unique and desirable vehicle at that price. Interior is actually nice, they used those seats on the later AUII SR

Both no bad buying. (not my cup of tea)

The regoed NSW one would be a good drive across the Murray and transfer rego to Vic without the necessary RWC.
While the other one is rather cheap considering it has 12mth rego and a RWC in the price.

Sometime buying regoed cars in Vic with no RWC included can be very pricey.

btw Registered Holden panel vans have certainly not come down in price yet. Sky high drug money as Franco states.

Good point about the rego/RWC making the EL cheap in Vic.

What do you reckon of XF-XG-XH panel van prices currently Rokwiz? Are the ones asking sub 10 worth the time?

Have noticed a couple of XB GS wagons, one coming down in their ask a bit from nosebleed pricing, much work probably.

https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/inve...gon/1324502141

And this XC GS wagon looks extremely well cared for throughout it's life, well done to the owner:

All three with dual action tailgates! I’m impressed.

Passed up a rusty XB GS 302 wagon around ‘99 for $800, had just dropped too much coin on repairing an XM wagon for little visible progress and was not in the mood for punting further.

BTW Mr Sprintey, I threw a question towards you in the Thailux thread.

Bottom one is in the best condition but I wouldn't be bothered going all the way to WA to buy it.

XF - H.
XG's are to difficult to buy parts for due to their limited run and goofiness.
To much electronics crap in the XH for me.
So that only leaves the XF vans I would look at just simply because of the parts availability.

As for price anything over $7 000 I consider overpriced IMO. I think they are a great car for work and play but not really worth much.
Most sell them with either dinged in tailgates or rusty roof gutters

It would have to be sometime like this for sale a couple of years ago for me to get excited. I think it was $10 000, immaculate and windowless.
