I'm still waiting for a picture of the Malvern Star Dragster. : Gees pat with that many projects your going to busy for a long time. Least you have one for everyday of the week. I'm with you there about new cars they just don't have the same appeal. I've got a XR6 although I get the odd nice car mate. When I take the coupe out people go out of there way to get a look at it. Like if it's parked on the side of the road you see people turn around and drive by or pull up for a look. Don't get that in the XR6.

Sweet!! Keep those XC Fairmonts comming!!

Fish17, that XC of yours looks like a really good unit. How much resto work does it need? Love your garage!!

**EDIT** Just seen your link to the project thread. Looks like a great base to start with!!

This was mine until about 9 mths ago when we parted company. Was a sad day indeed. I had a lot of fun with this old girl, I'm glad to hear the new owner is looking after her well.

it is a very nice car - it is good to hear the new owner is looking after her. i suppose with the current cost of these cars, you would have to.
the thought of someone mistreating her though would be heartbreaking
thanx for sharing

did you build her from scratch, look long and hard for a decent example or just own her from new

Thanks, I bought her as a shell with running gear, a couple of years before prices went crazy. Spent a lot of time & $$ getting her right. The previous owner wrecked an XB interceptor and fitted the driveline to this vehicle, along with 302 heads. 98+ octane fuel was a must, but she goes quite well.

This is probably the wrong place to show you but just pretend it has only two doors! ;)

I owned this before I sold the Lime Glaze XA, so they shared the garage, now the XP is a bit lonely.

just a couple of pics of the landau at wsid recently 1st run 11.3 2nd 11.01@123 on shell v power racing fuel went home after second run as i cant afford all the crap that goes with doing 10s so im going to run different fuel, tune and tinker a bit than give it a go as ill only have one shot at it before they tell me to leave. i also weighed the car again and it topped the scales at 1850kg without me would be very interested if fellow landau owners have weighed there's and what they weighed from factory

Hey Col, that's a big improvement over the times you were running in the 90's. I remember someone asking you what it felt like to have a push bike pass you at half track : Cruel buggers

When are you running again, I'll come out to watch

Great pics! How many Landau's do you see at the drags ...... and doing good numbers too as always

Havn't weighed mine ....... dont fit on the bathroom scales but the original weight from factory is 1719kg. Is there a fatass hiding in the boot?

no fatass in boot just behind the wheel 1719 you say at least i now know how much heavier the rear quarter repairs make it rear quarters and roof are the only things that i havnt stripped and repaired roof was removed by others and apparently they lead wiped maybe that was the in thing way back then. guess its time to put it on a diet and go stripping
