While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Is anybody watching the series on History called Air Australia? It is about Australias Aviation History. I am watching episode 1 now and episode 2 is tomorrow. Hopefully they can go into the jet era. Right now it is following Mcguinnes (spelling) trying to start his airline.

Whats the little black jet in your last lot of pics Simon, I can pick the F-15 (Strike)Eagle and the C-130 Hercules, but unsure of the little black fast mover. Is it a A-4 Skyhawk??

Been taking the camera gear to work lately in the hope of getting some shots of the local Air Tractor fleet in action, so far haven't been stopped near any working.

looking at those rear shots of the spitty, must be a pain in the **** to land in a crosswind with that narrow gear. Got my tailwheel and find a decathalon hard enough in a xwind...

Drop Probably off the begining of your statement and you'd be 100% correct . Has any aircraft ever looked so right ?

US Army Rangers on a Nightstalkers MH-6 Little Bird.

Here's my 1/18 scale version, carrying a couple of guys from the A-Team (don't ask).

I actually received two of these TOW Defenders in the post, even though I only ordered one. Score!

Probably impossible, but worth a shot

Not wrong. You'd think Amberley putting one a public open day would be the polite thing to do....ah well.

The 6SQN F111 model should be turning up here soon, can't wait

Some new arrivals today.

Qantas 787-900 (I know they don't have any) and 767-300

In 2 weeks I am setting up an airport and taking all my models to a Hobby Expo, so all the ones in the pics plus another 20 or so I have boxed up. Should be great.
