The original four speed will handle about 50% more torque easy. There is no real benefit to the Sierra box as far as ratios are concerned. I had a steel case Celica box in mine and now have the alloy Supra box. Much better ratios in the Toy boxes and very strong in the Escort even with a turbo. There is no problem fitting them up. You need a new crossmember which I made myself. Jeff Dellow Automotive in Sydney have full conversion kits including clutch plate, speedo cable, yoke etc etc.
