Default *AFF Survey* - XR6/XR6T Feedback - Have your say!

Please read and understand this first- There is a chance that some of the information gathered from the results/discussions of the following topics maybe be used in a report to be submitted to my University. By participating in the threads you will have given consent to the possibility of the data being reproduced during my thesis. I understand that this is a public forum so therefore the information that can be seen is "free" in one sense, but it is a requirement that I let people know (common manners aswell).

Firstly thankyou to the AFF administration for allowing me to conduct the following investigation. I wanted to take this opportunity to alert fellow AFF members that over the next couple of weeks I will be starting some threads/topics that directly relate to my final engineering project that I have been working on this year. I am currently studying a Bach of Engineering/Commerce, majoring in mechanical eng and marketing.

I must stress that this project is not an official Ford project. But I have been working in conjunction with Ford as they have allowed my investigation into the topic and use of their facilities.

I intend to use this thread to post links to other threads so there is a central point for people to come back to if they are still interested or want to be involved in the process.

At this stage I would rather not reveal the exact topic as it may sway some results and create bias towards one particular area. What I can say is that it is predominately centered around the XR6T and where it sits in the Ford range.

I hope that everyone enjoys the topics, my report will be seen by atleast two managers within Ford and obviously by my markers at university.

I will look forward to everyone's opinions as I enjoy hearing/reading different perspectives. Remember no one will be right or wrong its purely an open discussion.

Again I must stress this is not an official Ford project, but who knows, with enough support and evidence you should never say never.

Thanks for reading. I will have the first topic up and running today.

Cheers

Alright so the final stage that I am hoping fellow forum members could help me with is some concept drawings/pics of cars that I have in mind that I would like to show in my report.

I am currently gathering the pics necessary, and ill post details in the photoshop section today. For those curious now the three cars I will be looking at are:

FG F6 R Spec
FG G6ET "ESP"
FG XR6T

All with bonnet vents, and the F6 and ESP to have other styling cues aswell.

I know there are many talented people on this site, and the your time is worth something so as the forums have helped me then I would also like to donate $50 to the site once the chops are done; this way all participants can feel they have contributed.

Thanks again. Ill leave you with this car for some inspiration (but leaving the 80's styling back there!), I think a modern day ESP would be interesting, the name is not set so dont stress.

In two weeks time my project is due and all going well I should be able to reveal some of my finding and fingers crossed post some pics of my work.
