That is a common problem.... easily solved..... apply a little pressure to the bonnet, whilst opening in latch, and it should open.... bingo

Ditto here with the bonnet. Yesterday me and my mates were congretgated round the baby tec' for about half an hour trying to get it open. Its a pain in the ****, so thanks for the know how on opening it!

Im also having major troubles with my drivers side power window. It seems that the buttons always fail, i have to sit there pushing for ages before the window will open or close, the buttons just dont work. When the window is up fully and you push the up button, it makes like a creaking strangish sort of noise, donno what it is.

I've also got some squeaks coming from the tailgate over bumps, thats a bit annoying. and the cd player makes grinding noises on startup..... It plays fine, just makes weird noises!

Apart from that, shes sweet hahahaha.... bloody hell

you need 2 ppl.... one to push down on it....another to open it!

Tailgate, might be the spare wheel?
And with the grinding noises, its the cd player spinning up... its the motor, not the CD scratching.

I have the opposite problem, my bonnet doesn't close all the time, just bounces, it's bent the bonnet now, fords fixing it under warranty, poss. new bonnet plus new bonnet catch. Fingers crossed it won't happen again.

Yea, i think this is going to continue being an issue with companies making their bonnets lighter and more suseptible to bending due to increasing pedestrian safety... if you ask me, its your fault if you J walk infront of my car, or are drunk and walk out infront of me doing 60kmh...

seems that there are several bonnet issues. my question is how did they miss this during testing.
surely, like they do with the doors on the test cars, they open and close the bonnet several hundred times to see what the wear would be.
you would think the issue would have popped up during that testing.

Yeah, That happened to me when I test drove Mine. Took it to a mates, we popped the bonnet to the the mighty 1.6, and couldnt close it again. I had to drive it back to ford with the bonnet up hoping it wouldnt fly up.....
Now it just wont open, and i worry that my bonnet will bend from the pushing force as well. They are very soft bonnets (mines got the tiniest of tiniest creases resulting from the problem).

I cant beleive ford will fix it under warranty though if it bends (And so they bloody should). That adds some piece of mind.
