Can't say I've seen those decals before in the third picture. Are they factory/dealer fitted or aftermarket?
It's amazing how little those brakes looked compared to modern cars. Should be a fun project. Is there much rust? |

Possibly a Mcleod "Horn" car?
Similarities with the decal going over the roof. Looks good in the body at this stage. |

Hi Mate, looking good!! It's great to see another one of these bad boys about to be re-united with the road. Looks like it was a pretty good body to start with.
Well done, keep the updates and pics coming!! Cheers.

What a nice turnaround in the last 5 mths!
Tell us more about the car Looks like a factory 302 judging by those Horn(?) decals Some more before shots would be greatly appreciated personally - as many of the stripes as you have actually! Good for preserving these cars history I guess and to have on record Kind regards George |

George buddy, if I could figure out how the heck to get pics to appear in the thread, rather than just link, I would post more !
Any ideas ? I've tried all options in the FAQs Now I'm off Firefox & trying Bill's Explorer ! |

Easy mate
Upload the pictures onto a photobucket account www.photobucket.com then click on the IMG code - fourth box down underneath the picture in link options and it will paste into thread as desired |

Figured out how to get the Jellybeans with wide rubber on:
Step 1: go for 4.5" backspace ('cause that's all you can get new) Step 2: get near new 295 TAs ('cause no-one's got new that I could find) Step 3: Shorten diff by 15mm each side to make up for the backspace not being 5" plus a couple mm clearance. That's the theory - let you know the outcome when I get my diff back from Lou |

Project started with son #1 scraping side of car on garage . . . all the way down the left side
What started off as a repair job turned into a project: once you change one thing, well it leads to many others ! |

Is was prepared by Duhig Ford Essendon. I can recall that they had this car and a green GT coupe with the same style stripes. Dad bought this car as a compromise: mum wanted purple hardtop with beige vinyl roof & I voted for a red GT (but was only 12 !) Wasn't a bad compromise after all. Car is still owned by dad, has always been registered and seen may good family times - the small dents on the drip rails evidence of the roof rack which used to carry mum & dad's fishing lines ! |

Looks great, what are the chances of retaining the stripe package?
